coolant in counterballence oil 400 2stroke
#1
when i got the quad on sunday i looked and it was fine today it looks like milk i know what it is but i want to know how serious it is could i ride like this and not have a prob? i dont mind haveing to refill the coolant
but i dont want the motor to overheat and blow it seems to me the oil should displace the coolant.
and about what do you think it would cost to have repaired?
one more question how in the heck do you tighten the chain on this thing?

Repair it ASAP if you waitt too long it will ruin the whole counter balance chances are you can get by with just changing the seal.

If you have any kind of mechanical skills you can fix it yourself.Get yourself a manual.Yes you can do quiet a bit of damage by letting the coolant continue to get in there. If you do it yourself you are looking at about $30.Good luck. And let us know if you attempt it yourself. We can get you thru it.Hope this helps.Oh yeah to tighten the chain you loosen the two bolts at the back of the axle housing. Then you stick a screwdriver in one of the holes in the sprocket, you will be able to tell which one it is.There is a slot in the axle housing for the screwdriver to but up against. Then you rotate the tires forward or reverse and you will see the chain tighten or loosen. Then you tighten the bolts back up.

On the chain on the Sport dont forget to put a tie down starp on the grab bar to the hitch and compress the shock to get the correct adjustment.

there is no slide adjustment on the end of the swingarm like there is on the trail blazer do you guys have an adjuster back there because it looks like the axel can not move forward or backwards on the swing arm..

Adjusting the chain isn't very hard after you do it a few times. Get a manual and take your time. The first time I did mine, I rushed through it, got the chain too tight, and tore up the transmission. Mine is a non-concentric drive model sport. Now, I take it a little slower and make sure it's right. Mine seems to have a sweet spot for adjustment and I have to take my time to find it. I've already found out what happens when it's too tight. 600 dollars wasted, but if it's too loose, then it seems I can pull the chain right off the back sprocket. Now, I can do it pretty quickly, but I've had to do it quite a few times.
