Im not sure about what size candlepower spotlight to get for the 400cc Xplorer 4x4?The books I have checked that advertize the spotlights for quads dont go over 70k candlepower. That dont seem very bright,is it?I have a rechargeable 500.000 candlepower spotlight that is rechargeable by AC or DC and im wondering if that is to much for my charging system to handle while recharging?

I realize that I can only recharge my spotlight with these cords.I can not run the light with these cords attached. What spotlight is everyone using?I'd like one that runs off the cigerette of my quad. How many candlepower is it?How high candlepower can I safely go without blowing fuses or take a chance on blowing the charging system up?Where did you get yours from? Thanks to all,===Bill

My friend bought one. He installed it, and after two days he went out to his garage, and wherever the cord touched his quad, it stained the plastic black.

Hey bill i have and use a brinkman Q beam 1 million power spot light on my sp 500s and never had a lick of trouble. But i do use the regular headlights until i want to spot somthing then i use the spotlight. You might want to turn up your idel just a touch when you will be using your light this makes it a little brighter. But also you better check the local lwas on the use of spot lights no need to get a fine as everyone can see the light so to speek.

So Bill wanting to see more of nature than you should have you ever thought about a set of good driveing lights instead of the spot...I am not sure what the law is on the spot light as long as you don't have anything in your possession I think you will be alright...I am not real up to date on the DNR laws where I really don't enforce them that much...as you know just like people running on an atv make it bad for the people who don't so do some people use these lights for purposes they shouldn't makeing tough on people who just want them for better lighting which I have no doubt you do...but I would check first unless you know your local game warden personally some laws are really screwed up and you can be charged in some laws for intent instead of the actual crime, for instance people who hunt with dogs out of season for raccoon or rabbit, it is illegal to just let your dogs run these animals out of season whether you have any game in your possession or not. I guess these laws are set up this way to help aide in the reduction of so much poaching but even being a law enforcement officer I myself don't really think this law is fair...and I am pretty sure if you are caught shineing a real high watt light around in the woods it is against the law...I know this is completely off the subject I just didn't want to see you get into something over your head...but as you told me you know a lot of the law around you so if they know you are a good guy probably no problem with you installing it...let me know what you find out...

ya bill i have used it and no problems. do what jamie says and give it a little gas when you use the light. it only has a 60 watt bulb in it so it doesnt take a lot of current. but man is that thing bright.
go to northerntool.com or look in there catalog i think i saw big ones in there.
i dont think walmart has the ones i have anymore i got i about 2 yrs ago.

have fun with it but be carefull of the DNR durring certian times of the year, they wiil take it if they find u using it. i think its illegeal to use it during hunting season, but check on that cause im not positive, at least here in michigan.
