What is it with polaris. I have read so many different comments about how polaris sucks, or I would
never own a polaris. We recently had someone that left a post "If you own a polaris you are stupid".
I just read in one of the other forums "I would be embarrassed if I were beat by a polaris". Or how about some colorful names for the pred - Predaturd or Pretater. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]
I really can't figure out why the slams on polaris. Owning a predator, I have noticed that peeps with other sport bikes compare there quads to the pred as far as handling and speed, etc... and rarely do you see someone say something positive.
The only thing I can think is that, in the 80's and early 90's there were some quality issues that they had and that reputation has never gone away. But, Polaris has come a very long way, not only with quality but innovative ideas as well.
None of this is really a biggy... I just think it is kind of weird!!

Where I live Polaris is huge. I dont hear any bashing but on the sites. I have had a few warrior people ask why I own a Polaris and I say why, do you wanna race? It shuts them up every time. But anyways the Sportsmans are very big and the Pred's are also. Who cares what other people think!!! If they drove a Predator then they would know.

Ride what you like, and all that bashing is not going to deter me from buying a pred within the next few months!!!

RidingaPred, i have been riding Sportsmans since '98 or '99. prior to then, many Hondas and a Kawi.
i have to tell you, i can still remember my first ride on that SP. MAN what a FANTASTIC ATV! butt wasn't sore after a long ride, didn't bang over all the rocks because it had BIG ground clearance, didn't get STUCK in the deep stuff because i had REAL 4X4, WOW! i CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT I HAD BEEN MISSING-OUT ON!
BTW, my riding buddies, mostly Hondas and a couple Yami's respect me for what i ride. afterall, they need me to pull 'em out! LOL!
enjoy whatever you ride. be thankful there is sooooooooo much to choose from! that's what i think.
this new EFI really kicks!!
