Default 00 Polaris Trailboss Tranny Blowout

I was riding today with my frined(Kawi 220 Bayou) and my other friend(00 Polaris Trailboss 325)...well the Polaris couldnt do anything so me and my bayou friend were riding and having a blast when we go up this hill and see my frind on the polaris sitting there with a huge pile of tranny oil underneath it....sure enough....the tranny is busted and the chain is snapped....had to tow him home...this is his second transmission and hes selling it to buy a "non-polaris". Anyone else have problem with Polaris's stupid automatic transmissions?

Actually his chain wasn't tight at all....if anything it was looser than it shouldve been....btw the first tranny he went thro was because of him not putting oil in it...didnt know he "needed" to.....hes a dumbass anyway.

EKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!....I knew it was wrong for a Yami dude to post abouta Polaris!!!

I kind've thought it was a tranny problem witch would caused the chain to snapped....that is my reason for say that about polaris.

tranny doesnt have anyting to do with the chain snapping.. when a chain is too loose or too tight.. it can snap.... then go thru your case...
yamaha guys can post here... just dont bash polaris.. more so when it had nothing to do with polaris at all...

Dude, all are welcome. Hozed is right. This is a case of stupid and not crappy Polaris. A broken chain can happen on any bike and most others it takes the engine/tranny case with it because they are one unit. Tell your buddy to get a manual and learn how to set the quad up right. That's all, no big deal. Good Luck!

Sounds to me that he didn't keep the maintenance up.Anything will go to hell if you don't. I had a 00 trailboss for 2 years, and no trouble with it at all. If the repairs cost are coming out of his own pocket, maybe he will learn a lesson.

Warrior68. no one is doggin you because your in a Polaris forum. The proper maintainance was not done on the chain, it's unfortunate that the chain snapped and took the transmission with it.
