Right before I bought my 03'Predator I was reading up on the big-bore class shootout, and they knocked the predator pretty bad about notchy shifting, and problems with going into neutral? I had a problem getting it into neutral until I adjusted the clutch slack(to what the manual suggests by the way), and have had no problems going into neutral since. And the tranny has had zero problems.... Heck it shifts better than my raptor EVER did. Smooth as glass to me. My friend's Yfz maaay get through the gears a little faster, but doesn't have near the grunt my Predator does I love my Preddy....best ride I've bought yet!
