V-Force reeds? $150 for a 1 hp gain? Just buy a set of Boyseen Pro reeds or Carbon Tech fiber reeds - cost about $40 and you'll still get a 1 hp gain and a crisper throttle response.

You want the reed block not just the reeds and the gain you will get is 4 HP.. HP costs money.

Best way to gain power is to port that baby and get rid of that stock piston before it breaks your heart.

Get a good pipe as well.

I have a 400 Scrammy and she does alright for now but when it is due for a refresh I am going to change LOTS lol..

I dont know where you ever seen 4hp from a reed cage. V-force only claims 1-3 hp increase ( 1hp on stock , 3 hp on race mod). The dynos Ive seen shows that a good reed pedals will outperforme some reed cage designs. You can check with HSP on the #'s.

Rad vs VForce

Hot Seat Page claims 2 - 4

http://www.hotseatperformance.com/ps...=2026&CATID=82

Boyesen claims 4 on the box and as far as modifications goes I believe you have not enough information.

A modified engine will gain more HP by changing the port timing more with a reed spacer than with just the subtle change provided by these reed cages. These cages as sold are sold for stock port timing if you read the information that comes with the cages. In fact the Boyesen reed recommends jetting down to benefit the operation of the cage.

Now you know where I got the information where did you get 1-3??

2-4 is what most say the v-force is good for. If I read that last post correctly, then it is not right. Port timing cannot be changed by anything other than changing the port openings inside the cylinder itself. It's all done in degrees of duration. Reed spacers do 2 things: add low end power and torque due to a longer intake tract, and also correcting the primary crankcase chamber volume size for a big bore, although they still will run faster without a spacer. You are exactley right Bubba had to go back and read what I wrote and errrrrrrrrrrrrr DOH lol...

by raising or lowering the port is the only way to change the timing - I need to read sometimes before I post LOL should of been an and there. However I recommend replacing the stock reed box with a larger one as the surface area on the 400 is just enough...a bigger box welded to the head will provide more cross area and allow a person to arrange the intake for better flow..

Cool, I was thinking to myself that you knew better than that The only reason I ever correct any post is just so people have the right info. I have been guilty of not reading my posts before posting them too.

I have a 1990 Polaris Sport 350L and i was wondering if anyone knows where to buy an aftermarket silencer...it's really loud, and i dont like it
also, which winch would you reccomend for this machine... is the Ramsey wireless worth it? or has anyone had bad experiences...?
