Kevlar like Aramax are trade names for the arimid fiber that is commonly known as Kevlar. The part # is MAX1121M2. This is for all NON-EBS Polarises.

Thanx bro!. I might just have to try the Dayco belt. When the SP700 belt first came out, I tried one of them and to be honest, it gripped a lot better than the stocker and would wheelie a lot easier and seemed to have a higher top speed. But then, I was told that it would eventually harm the clutches, the same with the Kevlar belts. So, I got another spliceless stocker. It just doesnt have the grip that the 700 belt did. I am going to have to give that Dayco a try. I like the cogs on both sides of the belt, similiar to the 700 belt. I noticed that the clutch compartment was noticably cooler

Lots of good info on this post. But does anyone know if the 700 belt will definitly hurt the clutches because I could use better grip. And if it hurts the clutches is it worse then a klevlar belt.

The Dayco Max2 belt seemed to be designed for the non ebs under 500cc machines. My guess is that the angle of the belt is better for the non ebs machines than the 700 belt. Plus it is more than $10 cheaper

The EBS uses the cogs in the belt to slow the quad down. Each cog locks into a slot on the primary, if I remember correctly. Due to this fact I think the cogs on the EBS models are much stronger and larger. This may actually give an EBS belt a bigger cross section, however it may make them stiffer as well. A thicker cross section is a good thing, but a stiffer belt isn't. They kind of cancel eachother out when put on a quad like the Scrambler or Trailblazer.

i really hope the kevlar doesnt do any harm to the clutch because it has a hell of alot better grip than my old 1 and i would hate to have to spend another $40-60 on a factory belt

I am in the same situation. Is the kevlar belt good for not burning and not tearing up the clutches? I can afford the extra money (or maybe less than stock) for a better quality belt but I can't afford new clutching. What would you guys reccomend for me?

You all need to realize that the stock belt utilizes Kevlar as well. Just less of it or different thickness of it or even a different version like Aromax. It still contains arimid fibers which is Kevlar. After market belts won't hurt your clutches. They are made for our clutches.
