TEAM secondary help
#1
I am getting a used TEAM secondary and need to know what it will need to work in a basicly stock 500 Scrambler. Here is what the clutch has in it " It has a 58-44-40 Helix and a
black w/red stripe spring, It origanily was in a scrambler with a Hot Seat
exterminator kit on it, Then I put it in the Trail Blazer with the HPD Race
Mod kit and was told that this setup would be fine, and it seem to work good." I plan on using a Aaen blue spring or a stock silver. what I need to know is will this helix be ok for trail ridding? And advice is welcome. Brad

A friend of mine has the Team secondary and he called HPD on how to adjust it and he was told that there is no adjustment, you can only change the spring. It has no helix,at least not like the stock secondary.

Yea, they are changeable. If your Team clutch doesn't have the two recessed allen set screw adjusters just to the outside of the retaining bolt hole (I know that description sounds funny, but if you have them, it'll make sense), I'd send the unit to HPD. I think Darryll stated for around $40 he'd mod the "not purchased from HPD units". Olav Aaen is a clutching master....but I think on this one, HPD has taken the lead. They'd be a great one to ask about the helix also. I don't remember which one was changed out in mine....sorry.

I emailed Hotseat on this and they told me it would work ok on a stocker but would really turn on if I put a pipe and air filter on it.
