Those aren't grease fittings, they are brake bleeders. Although there are grease zirks on the swing arm, up by the gearbox. Well i just noticed you have a 99, so they might not, I know my 96 did. Anyways, the important thing is that you do not put grease in the brakes. Brad

Also you want to check and see if the oil injector is working correctly. When I bought mine I thought it was fine. I went to check the injector and adjust it because it was smoking a lot when i was riding it. Turned out to be the cable in the oil injector housing was broke and the injector was just pumping in oil. Thankfully. I put the oil injector block off on it and it does not smoke nearly as much. Im still going to check the plug and adjust the mixture when all this snow melts and we can ride again.

Dont forget to bleed the brakes. Who ever had mine before me did a number on it with the brakes. I had to replace all the pads and bleed all of them. Now she stops on a dime or maybe a nickle.

Good luck with it. I love mine. Its my first 2 stroke also.

Couple more points - very regular lube jobs are esential!! Some zerks are hard to find and harder to reach so you should get a book. Chain lube & adjustment... Regularly remove drain plugs under recoil housing & starter to remove accumulated water....
