Confused about tires..
#12
As tire size applies to the 4WD. In the case of smaller circumference tires in the rear, this would cause the rear wheels to rotate at a faster rate then the fronts. In a 4WD application, the transfer case will sense this as rear wheel slippage and the front wheel drive will immediately kick in. Being that the tires don't change in circumference, you would be in 4WD all the time. I don't know if a Scrambler has an AWD system like the Sportsman but if so, the fronts are locked not limited slips like most all others manufacturers. You would be hard pressed to make tight turns unless on real soft ground not to mention the heavy wear and tear on the drive train. As mentioned above, I don't know if that 1" difference is enough to make a difference or not but I think it might. You'de have to do the math and then know at what point the tranfer case sends power to the fronts to know for sure.

I've been riding Scramblers for years. My standard set-up has always been 22-11-10 rear and 22-8-10 front. Much better tire selection available. Changing the front-back relationship a small amount doesn't hurt a thing. Folks who say that are just parroting the lore of the street 4X4 folks. You can also change rear sprocket size without changing the front. I've done it. Keep in mind that the Polaris front drive doesn't lock until the rear wheels spin.

In the polaris section type in tires and it will bring up a hole lot of stuff I have been serching this topic for quite some time. Im going with 25" mud lites all the way around with 190 douglas rims. The ITP rims are not offered in the factory bolt pattern in the rear but I hear that you can swap the hubs off of a predator and have a little machine work done on them to macke them work so you can use the ITP rims. But they say the 190 arebetter any way.

ITP does make the .190 rims in the stock bolt pattern. It is just not the pro series on the rear, but it is still .190 thickness. I know because I own them. I also own a set of Douglas. Both are great.

I was wanting to know what size rims you have are they 10" 11" 0r 12" . I would also like to know what size tires you are running on your scrambler. I looked at your picthers and it looks real good. The sizes that I was going for was 25"x8"x12" on 190 12"x 6" on the front and 25"x 10"x 12" on 190 12"x 8". But I am open for suggestions. And I would really like to know what you think. Think you very much!!!!!

I have ITP .190 10's on my scrambler now. I thought I would have to go to 12" for the bigger tires. But SCRMBLER5002X4 has 26's with 10's on front and 25's with 10's on back. So I think I am gonna keep my factory size wheels and put the Vampires on like he did.
