Default best way to clean out your cylinder?

What do you guys suggest is the best way to get any loose debris out of your cylinder if you've already got it all apart and laying on the workbench? GAS, Kerosene ?? what have you guys used??

thanks for the input

Spray it with WD40 and wipe it out thoroughly with a clean rag.

Make sure you wash it out with soap and hot water, and then coat the cylinder lightly with motor oil or 2 stroke oil before assembly.

Hot water and dishsoap, dishsoap cuts thru oil and does the best job. Just be sure to protect the cylinder after cleaning as it will rust easily once cleaned.

He maybe talking about the outside of it. I take them to the carwash if it's too bad since they use hot soapy water. That and degreaser works great. I have the alumi-bright to clean the rest of it after the heavy stuff is off. Otherwise it's hard to beat a good can of carb cleaner.
