The head is off why?

You can just don't go crazy with the smoothing. don't take off a lot of material...

i was just gonna smooth it... not take stuff out... ( i hope )
my buddy said that the rough surface would be better for the gas.. i didnt understand why..
the smoother the better i thought..

btw.. head is off because i broke my case and polaris was nice enough to send me a new one.

I don't think your bud is rite hozed... I would do all the ports after you get them all smooth give them a good polish... Make sure you have the right tool for the job like a high speed die grinder is what i use, or any rotary tool...

O yeah i remember now about your case lol....
