Two Rookie Questions: Wax and Stupid Stickers
#1
Anyone,
Is there a trick to removing some of those idiotic stickers that come with new machines? Like the "under sixteen" ones and other safety stickers that are just in the way. Please, no sermons. Also, if I cannot remove them without screwing things up, will waxing over them give me long-term grief? Hey, I'm new at this, young and learning.
Final thoughts: NEW machines from the factory come OUT of specs in some areas. Dealers don't give a *hit. Had to adjust my chain, drain overfilled oil, put in more brake fluid, etc. Had more of this stuff with another new machine. Polaris factory -- get real!

If your good with a razor blade then do it that way with some goo gone. I used goo gone and a razor blade and turned out very good like there was never any stickers there. I have also heard of people heating them up and peeling them off but ive only did it the razor blade way and it worked for me.

I thought I was the only obsessive compulsive sticker-hater. The moment I brought home my new SP500 I got out the heat gun and pealed off the stickers. Blow dryers don't seem to make enough heat, just alot of air. WD40 takes off the glue residue. Do it now, those stickers are bothering me!

Stickers aside, those things you were saying about the adjustments is not Polaris's fault it is the dealer you got the quad from!!! That is what the setup fee is for and you should have called them up and told them your problems and if they are a good dealer they will take care of them!!! I believe these machines come empty but I could be wrong. What I am not wrong about is that they should have checked everything before they loaded that bike up

when i first brought my tb 250 home, i took cold water from the hose and sprayed the stickers down for a couple of minutes, after that they stiffened up somewhat and peeled right off, and it doesnt leave any scratches from a razor blade.

DUDE! You're not serious are you? Laquer thinner, if not used VERY CAREFULLY, will eat your plastic. It will at least take the sheen off of your plastic. I think heat is the best and safest bet.

Take it to the do it yourself car wash and hit them with the pressure washer..
I've taken off several stickers with my own pressure washer at the house,
and its left none of the sticky glue behind..
