Hey guys. I usually dont talk on this side of the quads, but I'm looking for some help with a 04 sportsman 700. We got the 700 about a month ago, and it has a hard time starting in cold weather. Im not real worried about that part, but it seems like it has no power, does it just need to loosen up?? Or maybe it just doesnt feel like the power is there because of the great ride. anyways, can someone give me a little feedback for solutions to these problems. Thanks Brad

Not sure about the power part. I can tell you mine feels plenty powerful... maybe the better word is HUGE torque. Mine is just unbelievavle off idle. Once you get rolling above 35 or so she is not that impressive in shear acceleration. I would describe the 700 to be more of a torquer than a revver or even a midrange motor. Maybe you can ride another one (friend or dealers) and compare. As far as the cold starting habits, there is a fix for that. I think it's mostly jetting refinements, but it might be more. If you go back a couple of weeks you will see some posts describing the fix. If you have any trouble finding them, let me know. Good luck.
