Default BIG NUT

a big nut that holds my crank on my engine stopped me from finishin my motor tonight.. not only over 1.5 inches.... the socket needs to be like 4 inches deep!!! wtf. .. venting....

i tried to just remove the crank bearings... but the allen head bolt that holds them on started to strip out... i was p/o

Time to make a trip to sears... buy some tools! you can never have to many of them...

If it is the big nut I am thinking off , it has left hand threads . Carefull carefull ..........

we wondered that.. tried it both way with a set of water pump pliers, she werent moving.... the manual didnt say anything about it being left hand threads tho.. but it did say that it was torqued down to 60-75 lbs.... there is a store around here that you can rent tools for free... so i am going to do that if i cant get one at the dealer.

It's like that every time I try to work on something. I'll get half way into to something and discover they make a special tool to do that. I've got a spare tool box full of stuff I've never had to use more than twice.
