I have a 2000 Trailblazer. It is a little wimpy and boggish on the bottom end of the powerband. This is the first polaris that I have owned and I'm used to having more take-off power.

Any suggestions? I know about the clutch kits, but don't understand what the "green" or "red" springs mean. I also know that I can use an aftermarket pipe, but I would like to keep it quiet and not spend a bundle of $. I perform all of my maint. on my atv's.

I also have a set of Boyesen Pro-series reeds on order. I hope that they will help a little. As it is now, my TB only has power at the high/mid to top end of the powerband. Can anybody let me in on some info? It will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Anthony

First off send the reeds back because the TB is a piston port and does not use reeds. The springs in the clutch are color coded for spring length and gauge of the spring. Different springs have different engagement points and shift out points.
So if you had a manual clutch and reeved it out to 4000 rpm instead of 3000 rpm and engaged your clutch thats about what you get with a different spring in the Polaris PVT. But you should replace the springs as a kit because the clutch performs better if its tuned in right.
