Default Brush guard

Is the Polaris brush guard a wise investment? It looks like the radiator on my SP 500 HO is fairly well exposed to stick and stumps when trail riding. Will the brush guard add much protection or would I be waisting my $$$.

Just put one on my new 400 Sportsman (same unit as 500) and yes, it does add some protection to the radiator area. It looks cool too!!

Have you heard of anyone having problems with the radiator ( getting punctured by limbs, rocks, etc.) on the sportsmans?

I havent heard of anyone saying they punctured theres yet but i did look at mine the other day and it was full of mud so make sure you keep an eye on that and take that front screen off and spray it out w/ a water hose. I have the polaris front brush guard and i love it. Makes it look mean.

I added an extra guard made from expanded metal to the Polaris brush guard.
