Sportsman 500 VS. Outlander
#1
I have been looking at these two machines. When I press down on the back of the Outlander is goes down pretty easy. When I press down on the back of the Sportsman 500 nothing happens. Without taking them both out for a good ride it seems like the Sportsman would not ride as soft as the Outlander.
Has anyone with a Sportsman had some seat time on an Outlander?
If so, please give a detailed opinion about the ride differences.
Any other comments are appreciated.
Thanks Guys

your driving a 500lb machine 50mph over rough terrain. It's not suppose to be soft sitting still. Just think about the suspension loads those weights and speeds create. The sportsman is one of the plushest riding ATV on the market. To soft and it will bottom easily.

The difference is how the suspension are made...
If you look closely, they are not made the same way.
The polaris have to go a little bit sideways to go down, that's why when you push it down, it does't go...
But on the trail, it's different.
I find the polaris a little bit soft in the front, but the outlander a little bit soft in the rear, but the 2 ride nicely.
I have a polaris for 2 1/2 years, and i find it very confortable, a my wife also.
