Getting tb400 plz stop me if this is bad idea(new rider)

No, I havent ridden a TB400, but have ridden a 400 scrambler, and a 500 scrambler...both will wheelie no problem...what I meant was that they are harder to contriol than a manual quad as far as wheelies go it takes alot more skill, from my very extensive experience and if hes 15, and apparently pretty in-experienced, a manual will be easier to wheeli for him. I would have to suggest either the Honda 300EX,(not sure if it has reverse though) or the new Raptor 350. Both are reliable, and very user friendly power band for a beginner, or if you want an auto, the TB 250 or 400 wuld be good choices.

Also, dude!!! You got to calm down!!! Just get a decent quad and have fun, ride safe, and when you get alot more experience, trade it in on what you really want. The more you get out and ride, the more you will be exposed to different machines and you will find the type of quad that you are really looking for.

well....if your a beginner....auto might b a good start...and can easily be modded to make acceleration faster...as well as the 400's...you can get those babies up to 75hp....with less money than it would take with a 4banger...so, to outgrow the power of the 400....might take a while...as you progress through mods(diff springs for PVT) and so forth...wheeling becomes way easier. If i was getten a new quad...i would def. look into a sport 400 or scrammy 400....just for the fact they are fun, and very easily modded to make some sweet power....jmo

That new Raptor 350 is basicly a smaller raptor with a warrior powertrain. It is still an aircooled SOHC 4 stroke. You wont ever outgrow the power of the TB400. Plus you can run all day long without a problem cuz the TB400 is liquid cooled

My eye is looking toward the z250 pluse it is semi auto so i can get staarted with the shifting... it will have decent power for someone of my skill. Also can you trade it back to the dealer if you want once im looking for a step up...

The tb 400 is a very good quad and fun to ride. I use to have a 300ex and it had so many mods on it and if I had to recomend a quad to you it would be the 300ex and some dealers have deals on the ex and they sell them dirt cheap. Good luck on finding the quad you want.

Ok. The Raptor 350 is reliable and we know this because it is a Warrior with Raptor plastics and Warriors have been around for ever and are out-dated, but very reliable. And If you read all the posts, I came back to say that the TB400 is not hard to wheelie, but for a beginner it would be harder to wheelie and keep up than a manual quad. Anyonw who has significant seat time on both types of quad will say that an auto quad itakes much more skill to keep a wheelie up than a manual.
Go with the Z250 or 300EX.
