pipe for 400 Scrambler
#5
DYNOPORT!! And that is all there is to say about that! I have had one for a year and it is definitely a NIGHT and DAY difference from stock performance. Well as far as NOT CLUTCHING the pipe as someone said, they are just smarter than the rest of it's competitors. Call them at 315.253.9631, They will answer and explain any questions you may have ( Even I was in question of their pipe until I called.)
Here is alittle quote for you from Dirtwheels:
Dirt Wheels Magazine:
Polaris 400
"Every test rider described it as torquey and quick to respond. Strong and smooth Power"
Chuck (99 400 Scrambler, DynoPort pipe, DG Bumper, K&N, ITP Holeshots on Douglas .190's,and a few other mods coming soon.)

They also said that about a stock Polaris Sport. Sure its a night and day difference, you are adding a pipe to it. I would just like to see your face when you got off of my Sport. A clutch is definately needed for optimum performance.

I agree with Talon and racenut1 , DynoPort designs their pipes only for Polaris. My 99 400 Sport reacted tremendously to the DynoPort. I wanted low and midrange, and thats what I got. BUT -- it added to my top end slightly also, so its all around perfect for what I wanted. The only thing required is new jetting ( which is supplied with the pipe). No clutch kit needed here-- instantaneous response already. All brands of pipes have their benefits..but DynoPort kicks *** for Polaris...I have no clue about other quads.

2001 Raptor 660R (Black&White) on the way. Woohoo!

I'm sure DynoPort is a good quality pipe. I just don't see getting that much of a gain without doing the clutch. When I installed my RcR kit, I thought I had the fastest quad around, then after re-doing it with HPD components, and a clutch kit, I was amazed.
Talon: I live 2 1/2 hrs north of Columbus. There is some great riding up here. Email me the next time you are coming through, bring your bike. A bunch of guys from this forum are going to Wayne Nat. Forest this weekend. Why don't you guys join us?

Quadfather I was hoping that Extreme was going to make the quad ride a different weekend, because this weekend it is the KING'S ROYAL at Eldora Speedway!!!!! I would love to go riding but this is my definite choice for this weekend.
Oh by the way I come into Akron on 76 on my way to Columbus and next time I will let you know. I am always up for a great ride anytime.
Thanks,
Chuck
