Does anyone have any suggestions for carb adjustments/mods. Here is my current set up- White Bros. slip on. Superbike Air force air box kit using their #1 jet, Head is polished/Ported, 12:1 Piston, I run 110 Octane fuel, K&N filter. Here's my problem no matter what I adjust I just can't seem to get it jetted right. I would really like to try someone else's Air box mod. I keep hearing how fast these Preds are and I just don't see it with mine. It's barely faster than a 400 EX! Also, has anyone put cams in and how do you like the performance?

Thanks, Quickscrambler

I don't know what size the main jet is Superbike Shop grinds the number off and identifies them with lines 1 line being their #1 jet, 2 lines their #2 jet and so on. I have " their" #1 jet and yes I cut the spring 21/2 coils off.

drill your vacum holes out also find the bit that fits in the holes and start drilling there is a lip on the inside of the holes that is what you wantto drillout

Quickscrambler, a 50 pilot, needle in the center clip and 180 main jet should be close on your set up. cut 4 coils off the slide spring and don't woory with drilling the holes. Now if your having trouble with a 400ex you have bigger problems. I would doublecheck cam timing, sounds like you could be a tooth off.

Would the spring/slide hole mod help a stock air box with a K&N(drop-in) filter? I have put the uni-vents in my box, but thats it....

Does this mod affect jetting? Will it make it richer or leaner? Just curious......

You will need to run a 50 pilot jet, leave the needle in the factory position. Main jet should be in the 160 to 170 range depending on how many uni-vents and your altitude.
