its was tricky for me when i first did it b/c i had no clue but here. on the back of the swing arm there are two 5/8 nut and bolt u need to losen them and on teh right of the sproket there is 2 hole a half a circle and a hole circle put a strong screw driver on somthin like that in it and push the bike forwards until it pops in even farther then just push teh bike fowards of back wards to get the right about of tightness ( you dont want it to tight it will snap )

The rear shock needs to be compressed all the way, then you are looking for 1/4" of "flop" in the chain.

I use a pipe wrench to turn the axle carrier - just be careful of the grease zerk.

you really want to compress that rear shock i used a ratchet strap it makes it tighten perfect. trust me on this and dont overlook this step...

You also need to loosen the rear brake mount. There is a 1/2 in bolt that mounts the rear disc caliper to the axle housing loosen that as well.

If your talking about the one I think your refering to, it's to check the timing mark on the flywheel.
