Default Predator resale value

Anyone buy/sell a used Predator? I was just wondering what people are getting/paying for the used Preds.

I guess I'm just asking because my dealer is selling a 2003 Pred that was raced last year for $4300 w/ 6 month warranty. The guy who raced it took the stock tires/wheels off for racing so they are still brand new. The quad looks absolutely perfect except for the usual signs of some riding time. I also noticed the left tie rod ends seemed a bit loose as well as the steer post bearing. I could pull up on the bars and there is definately some play in there. Other than that, the fact that it was raced makes me a little hesitant. I dunno what kind of racing it was or if the guy even did it often. Just wondering what any of you guys think. Thanks.

i would spend the extra $600 and buy a BRAND NEW left over '03.

i think the dealer is charging you way too much. it's been raced. i would say they are about $1000 too high on their price.

I agree with MT. Dealers seem to have extra 03's sitting around. I've seen them go for $4999 or less for them.

It REALLY depends on where you are geographically. I just sold my '03 for $5000. However, I'm in SoCal, and it was in MINT condition, and had some extras. Honestly, I wouldn't buy an ex race bike. Typically, they are thrashed inside and out.
