How far will a tank of gas go on the Pred? My brother just got one and is racing in the GNCC stock class, and want's to know if he can make the whole race on one tank. He couldn't on his Z, but that only had a 2.6 gal tank. He's hopeing with the Pred 3.25 gal he will make it.

 

i think some where i heard 25 mpg through trails.... i dunno though...

 

depends if he leaves it stock or not I suppose. The mileage drops dramatically once you start jetting and doing airbox mods.

 

He can't do anything to the engine, air box, or exhaust to run in the stock class. So he want's to know if he can go about 50 miles on a tank. He will be WOT a lot.

50 miles will be easy. I rode mine hard for about 38 with some mild jetting and a WB pipe and had a good half tank left. I wasn't taking it easy either. The trails were whooped so I had to ride the tops and you can't do that at 30mph..thats for sure.

 

I got 55 with mine when it was stock and i still had reserve

 

This will be good news for him. IMS has a 4.0 gal tank, but $200 for only a 3/4 gal gain is a little steep.

 

z had a smaller carb and smaller gas tank. pred has a bigger carb and bigger gas tank. so they prolly be about the same drain on gas. bigger carb needs more gas. i heard you could go 3hrs on one tank.

 

i would say you would be able to go about 35 miles on 1 tank of gas. my tb does a little over 24 miles on 1 tank which is horrendus.
