800 sportsman

maybe i'm just getting old or something, but i just can't imagine needing any more power than my EFI already has.
BUT, if Polaris builds an 800 and it's good on gas like my 700Efi, curiosity would more than likely get the best of me! LOL!!

hey chuck, i dont think they will because of there lawyers and people gitting killed becuase of too much power. 700 is plenty big thats like a truck already. how much does that thing weigh 1000 pounds
And how about bikes who get's about 150hp and above...
And car's who get's over 500hp...
Don't tell me atv get to much power, that's irrelevent.

hey pout im gonna say it again that is too much power, because people are stupid and go 70 + mph on a 800 pound machine and hit something. or if they roll it and 800 pounds hits you your not gonna be seeing tomorrow. quote too much power why would you need more then 500 the 600 and 700 are more of a my quad is bigger then yours kinda thing, yes i know they have more power but there is a point where you dont need anymore. and by the way those so called cars that have 500 hp are lamborghinis and ferris and porshe are over 200,000 dollars and that is too much power its unused power and waists gas making the prices higher that i have to pay for.

Right on pout. The reason people have an 800lb. machine roll over on them is because of their riding ability, not because of too much hp. Hey Polaris 500- I have a 700sp and you say that is one of those quads that is too powerful, well I have yet to see it roll over all by its self, or with my input for that matter. Some people may only be able to handle a 250cc class machine, yet the next person can handle 700cc+. Bolt some 28" or 29.5" tires on your ride and hit the local mudpit. Are you overpowered now? The Prairie 650 or 700 in no bigger than a 400cc Prairie and weights less than the Prairie400 and consumes less gas than my father's 350 Big Bear on any ride we do together. And I would appreciated more power on my machine (and I'm sure I'm not the only one..). Even with all of my mods, there is nothing scary opening it wide open throttle and it is very controllable (it's true it all depends on the driver because some get scared on their SuperSport Kasea 125). But, nothing close to a dirtbike acceleration which is still very controllable and legal and no plan on stopping their production or power increase. In the mud or in hill climming no stock quads are by far to powerful, believe me!!

HEY!
here's a thought!
since we all think the 500 is so close in power to the 600. and we think the 600 is so close in power to the 700.....
why not skip the 800 and go for the gusto and build a Sportsman 1000?! LOL!!!!!
