Is this a good trade?

I am planning on selling me 98SP500 but a guy has offer to trade his 2000 Scrambler 500 4X4 for it. The Scrambler is 5 months old and still under warranty. Even if I trade, I will still be selling the Scrambler. I know there is a limited market in East Texas for Sport Bikes. Which one do you think would sell for more money???

Both are in good shape.

Gregsims,

I once got a quad for my wife. Pretty good trade, huh?

Seriously though, The Scrambler and Sportsman are not even in the same league as far as pricing is concerned. I would go for the deal. If you and he are both happy.

go to KBB.com that way you can get an idea of what they are both worth.

I know the Scrambler is worth a little more, but Sportsmans outsell scramblers about 20 to 1 in East Texas. I already have another bike.

You don't have to cut plastice but you do come up on top of your front rack. I don't have a scanner or I would send a picture.

Everywhere I go someone is taking pictures of it. I figured one would turn up here. I have a neighbor with a scanner. i will try to post it tonight. Also if you have a late model with the breather in the air box lid, you have to cut your box.

greg,i have a magnum 2000 4x4 the stock tube now ends just above and a little behind the left front tire,by the fuel valve..i wont mind cutting a hole to let the tube stick out by the rack but i dont want to run pvc out the side by the foot board to the rack..i have an idea on how i want to do it but i cant find any kind of tubing that is rectangular.. a 2and a 1/2 inch round pipe wont fit under the plastic..i was think of going to the junkyard and see if i could find some a/c duct work out of a car..thanks for the help.. p/s im only looking to do the pvt box so i can at least get it up to the level of the air intake, then i only have to worry if the water comes over the seat..all my vent lines for diff`s and tranny are easy enough to extend.. ive sunk the machine twice and could have made it if the pvt was at that height,so
