LARGEST TIRES ON STOCK 02 700
#2
I'll go out on a limb here and say 26"ers. I'm not familiar with the 02 models, but I can tell you that on my 04.5 700, 27's are a bit large and WILL rub if ridden hard. The dealer told me "no problems with 27's", but trial-by-fire has proven otherwise. Personally, I like the look of my 27's so I'm going to put in a small lift in the front only. Just enough for a bit more room up front as the rear seems fine.
It's an uneducated guess, but I hope it helps....

Yup, I'd agree on the 26"s. I had to do some pretty major mods to my 500 and 700 to fit 28"s when ridden hard. The biggest problem is not the height but the clearance between the rear of the front tire and the footwell. But I do have 5"+ offset rims so that compounds the problem.
