I took my machine out today and thought it was running good now but it still is bogging and sputtering. These are the following setups i tried and how they worked::::: 165 main needle on the 3rd clip--- sputtered and bogged midrange
170 main needle on the 4th clip---- sputtered less but still in mid and bottom
170 main needle on the 5th clip------ still sputtered but not as much--- best so far
175 main needle on the 4th clip------- mid-bottom end sputtering alot
175 main needle on the 5th clip ------- no-- midrange power or bottem end-- not sputtering or bogging

What should i try next-- i was thinking about trying the 175 on the 1st or 2nd clip???? any help

 

I have a mid range sputter also..... It was just a little sputter at first and so I went down on the clip or up on the needle..... just rode it today and it was worse..... talked to a mechanic about it today and he said I needed to go the other way w/ the needle which would be up on the clip and down on the needle. I am also running a 175 main which is right on when I get wide open. If I were you I would try going the other way w/ your clip/needle first and see what happens.

 

what kinds of mods do you have done to your predator? I am running a 170 main with the clip on the 4th notch and it runs good but i think it can run better--- which way should i move the clip-- it has some slight sputter 3rd gear and 4th gear but bottom end is really responsive.
