When I double my winch cable back from a ****** block is it ok to hook the the little bar right at the bottom of the radiator cover. If not, were do yall hook to when using a ****** block. I don't want to hook to anything that will tear loose.

I usually hook it to the main part of the frame (ie) the biggest tube I can see on the frame with a old piece of web strapping that has a D ring attached to it. I would loop it around the frame and connect it to the hook. I am getting tired of digging this out and am going to mount a permenant D ring.
I have seen in Cabelas a mount for attaching a winch hook to, it is a plate with 2 u-bolts and bolts to the frame and the D ring is attached to the plate. I am going to do this with my Kodiak except I am making my own from some srcap steel plating and getting my neighbor to weld a piece onto it that is drilled to bolt the D ring on, cost is going to be around 5 bucks and gives a firm place to connect the winch cable. Sorry guys, I'm talkin about is specific to a sportsman. I am asking if it is ok to hook to the bar at the bottom of the radiator grill on a sportsman. If yall dont know what im talkin about go out and look on a sp at the bottom of the radiator grill, there is a bar that has about two or three inches exposed. The hook on my Warn fits right there perfectly, and it seems to be solid, but I was wanting to know if any sp owners hooked there. Thanx
