Does anyone know the top speed on a sportsman500?

 

Mine is just under 60, 57 or so.

 

well i have had mine to 60 no joke guys I am only 130 lbs if that makes a diff.... but if some one asked what the top is i would say o 57 58 or so

Yeah I believe 60 I have not had a chance to get her up to speed by myself, once I start it up my girlfriend is right on back. 60 certainly is do-able.

your 130lbs???? WOW i'm 15 and i'm 180lbs at 6ft tall...you must be a small guy or very skinny.

 

I weigh 220 and the best mine will do with stock tires is 55 and that is on level land...

 

I thought a 500cc engine would do better than that...my 200 goes 50mph on the road, not much of a difference.

I can understand that their utility atv's and mines a sport quad.

 

i'm at 125abls 24 and my 96 sp500 goes 60 mph.

 

We have been here many times before guys. The one thing to take into consideration is ELEVATION. For every 1000 ft above sea level you will loose 3% of your available power. I ride at around 3000 ft and my top speed is 54-mph tops.

 

ATV_MAN i am only 13 im auctually not that skinny...not fat in anyway but im about 5'9" and last time i weighed myself i was 130 (i havent weighed myself for 6 months and i have grown about 3 or 4 inches in that time period....so im not that small.....sorry i didnt really inform you too well id say im about 140-145 now....
