I'm getting my Trial Porting done on my 400 this week and a new Wiseco piston .030 over stock. Will I see a big or little difference in
HP and how much will I gain if any? I have read that it will increase about 8 hp.

I will have before and after pictures coming soon.

Who is doing it?? I doubt you notice a whole lot, most people just kinda clean the cylinder up when they "trail port" You may notice a little, but I doubt it.

You will definately notice big power gains. Pulls harder, revs quicker, responds better. BUT it wont work if you dont have a pipe to go with it. Trail porting with the HPD trail pipe is awsome. Oh and dont forget a clutch kit to match the new powerband.

My buddy got his scrammy trail ported after he had had just the pipe for a while. WOW. Whole new machine. The thing wheelied and busted a 50ft roost at the same time. Great machine till the crank berrings went and cracked all the casings...then he sold it But until the berrings went...wicked fast!!

Hey I just got mine back together, RcR did all the work, shaved head and ported....RICK RITTER is the MAN!!!! WOW this thing is WICKED!!!!! I cannot believe the power it has, I seen a big difference. The only thing I did not like was the clutch spring....to much stall for me. He shipped another one out today. What a great guy Rick is.

Even a mild port job, done correctly will yield nice results. Adds a lot of grunt and some top end as well.

Bajarob I still trying to get it right....Are you running that big of a jet. I had a 300 then droped it to a 290 and it still aint right. Maybe I need a bigger jet. How is yours running? Maybe someone can help me? I'm dying here. I'm starting to get real sick of jerking the carb off.

I went down to a 280 main and that seemed to help but it still wasn't right. I'm not sold on the bored carbs with porting. I just got the 39 pwk and am going riding in the morning and will post on the difference.
