Default What else do I need?

Rick is doing port, head, lightened flywheel and carb bore plus hpd trail pipe and clutch kit. Also girdle mod, piston, block off kit and air box mod. Wrist Pin bearing, gaskets and jets. I think thats everything, should I get new head studs or anything else you can think of that I will need to put everything back together ? Work is being done on a 02 400 4x4. Anyone that has done this please give me any tips or tricks you know on putting it back together right the first time. I blew my whole wad so I don't want to screw it up. And if you want to tell your story on putting yours back together that would be great !

Look the studs over closely and make sure that they are in good shape, and if so then I wouldn't replace them. When putting back together, take your time and do it right. Once you start, don't stop or you may forget something, or not tighten something. Use plenty of white lithium(spell check?) grease or oil of some kind. If you run into trouble don't be afraid to ask for help. When you start it up, run it slow for a while. Brad

go purchase a manual and read it over so u know how to do it. It really helps. Or just some diagrams help also. Your dealer will have both.

I got the manual with the 400. BigBad do you need a special tool to retorque the jug bolts. It is very tight and I don't think I can get a torque wrench in there ?

Hey BBS don't you put loctite on the threads?? If so, I wouldn't retighten them, it would break the locktite loose and then it is pointless.

Just take your time at it. And re-check everything
