Default Scrambler 500 Pipe

How much louder than stock are the White Bros pipe and HPD pipes? Would putting either of these pipes on an otherwise stock machine be worth it as far as feeling a gain in power? I am looking for more power without needing a clutch kit that has a higher engagement. Thanks.

im not sure about to sound levels but as far as power gains, you wont feel the full effect without some sort of clutching..

Yes you have to do some type of clutching to make a big difference... you will notice a BIG difference in performance with the HPD pipe and clutch kit, When i took off my HPD pipe and clutch kit it had no power, before i could tap the throttle and the front end would lift.. with the mods off i have really no acceleration and no bottom end grunt...
They really do help...

The HPD pipe has a nice low tone rumble and isn't very loud. The White Bros pipe is going to be much louder for sure...

Does the HPD pipe have a spark arestor, or is it approved by the forest service to be legal on public land?

If you are looking for better performance try changing your primary clutch spring to a white Polaris spring not alot of engagment but better performance. And it is lots cheaper than a pipe. If you just put on a pipe you will notice some improvement but not as much as when you pipe and clutch it.A clutch kitt will give you more bang for your buck but you will have some more stall speed to deal with.
