Default Could this cause a crash??

Well, back in Nov, i crashed my pred, cornered too fast and hit a TV pole..well thats what i think i did anyways. I only remember knowing i wasnt going to make the corner and seeing the TV pole get closer..next thing i know im laying there with a broken arm.

Anyways, to the damage on the bike...the upper right a-arm is snapped right on the weld point, both upper and lower ball joint are broken, and the tie-rod is broken too.

now my question..if the a-arm snapped while i was riding..could the cause the bike to flip?? The reason im asking is my bro was behind me and he said the bike started to flip before i hit the pole..i mean i could have put it sideways then it stuck and flipped, but for some reason i dont think i did that.

what do u guys think??

Sore..im taking 7 pain killers a day! now its not strong stuff, nor are they addictive as i wouldnt take them if they where..its for the nerve pain which sucks! when your trying to go to sleep and your hand is going nuts! grrrr! Doc has me off work till the end of the year, with more surgury in the summer..

anyways, ive talked to my dealer about it and about getting it fixed under extended warrenty..now if my dealer can show that the a-arm snapped and caused the loss of control, they might help with fixing the bike. wanted to see though if it was possible for the a-arm to cause it though..

i hope you feel better soon..

Well if i snapped off and you had nothing holding the upper ball joint to the spindle yes it would cause you to lose control.. The tire would have only the bottom ball joint and the shock holding the spindle assembly to the quad, and it would toe in or out depending which way you were turning and which side this happened...

So if it did break then you would then lose control and have really no chance at regaining control thats if you were going fast...

Now that i think about it someone had told me they seen a predator with the upper a arm broke, he told me that the rider of the pred was thanking god he was only going about 20mph when it happened..
