i need to adjust my handlebars on my pred because of when i flipped it they went back wards but i have no idea how to get that black thing off!!!??? please help???

 

Theirs only 2 screws(on the black cover)...remove them and now loosen the 4 bolts on the barclamp.

 

i took off the bolts but it still doesnt budge

 

You need to tap the bar clamp a little with a rubber hammer, or carefully use a flat head screw driver and tap that in between the two piece bar clamp... It will come lose i had a similar problem with the bars on my scrambler..

 

yeah but the stupid black plastic peice in the middle of the handle bars with the ignition and nuetral light that thing wont come off so i have no way to get to the bolts..[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]

You may have to take the key switch off of the cover to move it out of the way. The handle bars are going to be stuck in the clamp so as it was said earlier you will have to smack it with a mallet the reassemble in the position that works for you.

 

Check your steering stem to see if it is bent also mine bent when I flipped it.

 

mine came off easy when I put my renthals in. Just tapped on it alittle and they broke free
