How good are Predators in water???
#1
I was wondering what I should expect when I take my predator up north on the logging trails this year. There is often alot of water holes, especially this year with the wet spring. Our Sportsman is terrible, clutch get wet and your screwed.
How are the predators when it comes to water? Obviosly you need to keep the air intake above water, Is there anything I should avoid?

The vent hose for the carb runs down to the bottom of the frame. Running through water deeper than this will cause the Pred to stall. Solve this by re-routing the hose up and over the frame.

it seems odd that they would have a strange design like that. If I route it up, and mousture gets in it, it will sit in there like a trap in a drain, and it will also stall corect? or will it blow the moisture out?

Hey, I just bumped a thread with predetor movies. If you have high speed you can download the movie plongeon and it will show you how a predetor does in water. Predetex.com you can open the link from the thread called any predetor movies.

WOW! I don't plan to drive in water that deep! It really sucks to be that guy. It looked like he was on the throttle going down too. Im at school and our computers don't have speakers so I couldn't hear what was happening.
