what type of oil to put in gearcase

Default what type of oil to put in gearcase

my son has a 04 predator 90. it calls for agl synthetic gearcase oil. the nearest polaris dealer is an hour and a half away. i have mobil 1 synthetic gearcase oil. but it says its a type gl-5. can i use this, or does anyone know of another brand i can find locally. thanks

I think if the gear case oil in there now smells like the 90wt we all know, you should be fine using the Mobil gear lube (I would just be sure it is not the ATF fluid). Take a look at the Amsoil site Amsoil
