Good points, ledebuhr1; however, I didn't say what year. Nevertheless, I venture April 1 is the release date for the machine in question.

Land Rover did not go bankrupt, however, Ford Motor Co did buy them out.

Tree Farmer, good choice for a release date, I could not think of a better one. April 1st.

Hey guys don't knock this thing. I have seen it with the new 245/50R15 Vamps and a snorkel system that looks like a copy of Gregsims. One hell of a mudder ...

Any word on a challenge mud race, Deej; the Polaris Prototype against any and all Hondas, stock, modified, present and future? $ 1000 (US) winner-take-all prize money?

To me, that was not a pic. of an atv. I think thats why they got to see it. Its hard to tell with no body on it, but I thought it looked like a
go-cart with a big motor on it. They are probably using it to test new engines?!? -rangerchet

That is nothing more than what polaris people use to get around from trail to trail, with a new atv at each trail. They built it so t was street legal.

Maybe they just want to see what kind of market is out there and want to see what kind responses they get and would people buy it. Polaris is also getting into alot types riding, they are now making mini's and go-carts. Also an idea for a street legal quad, there are begging to be more& more. Looks safer, goofyer, but kinda fun.

Theres a first for every thing.

IMHO it a vehicle for testing motors only. Low center of gravity wide stance, basically no way to get hurt on it. Looks like a way to make a insurance company happy. My $.02

That's a VW beetle with the engine moved to the front. Who knows, they'll probably sell a (turbo?)diesel model too
