Hi,

I know this has been discussed a thousand times in this forum but since opinions on the mods for Trail Blazers differ so much I would like some opinions for specific riding conditions...

My wife rides a Y2K trailblazer with no mods. We do alot of Desert, Mountain, and Dune Riding. Is there a "Happy Medium" we can come to in a Pipe, Clutch kit to give her more power...? We currently ride above 4000' (Reno NV) and I just put a set of paddles on the bike last weekend and headed for the Dune and found that stock it could hardly turn the tires!

Please give your opinions as several places have given several different opinions..The most logical so far was to get rid of it but that is not an option ; )

Thanks

Call up Rick Ritter (RCR) and order her a Mid-Top end pipe for it and get the Stage 1 Kit. His site is www.rittercycle.com. You will see him in these forums for replys like this usually. I met him in person at his shopabout 3 or 4 months ago. He is the nicest man you can meet. He even bored a Scrambler 400 cylinder in front of me. Well...Later Kenny

Go with HPD. I've had both.

you also don't own a trialblazer.

RCR makes a great kit.

310 you get a new clutch spring, Air filter, carb jets, Pipe and silencer.

Mid range is a bolt on 8 HP.

So, are you saying that if you go with his TrailBlazer products, they will be better than his kits for a 400?

Also, why do you list things you haven't got yet? Thats about the silliest thing I've ever seen. I wouldn't bore members with my wish list.

I have forgotten more about 4-wheelers than you'll ever know.

My wife used to own a 97 trail blazer.we ride about 40% fast open desert and 60% dunes(glamis, buttercup, wells hot springs)let me tell you you will love the HPD pipe & clutch kit it runs great, there clutch kit for the 250 is very cool...it takes off from the start great, and the pipe picks up from there..way more power then stock, there dyno chart says 10hp I think but it feels way more than that on that underpowered 250 you will make it up dunes you couldnt before, but the real big ones will still get you. you will wake up lots of stock sport400's with this set up,you wont beat them but sure will wake them up off the start...well I take that back she did beat one sport 400 at the hill but it was a roached 400 with a fat dude riding it,well anyway if you want to check out are TB250 just go to my web site,by the way I havet seen a 250 with a RCR pipe so Iam not sure how they run.
