11 days..still no parts

I bought a new Magnum 325 on 5/30/00. On July 7 the oil line above the filter came off. ( I posted this story earlier). I took it to the service center the same day. I was told they would get an upgraded relplacement "2nd day delivery". Since then, it was "lost by UPS". They reordered on Friday July 14 and assured "overnight delivery". Today Tues. July 18 I was told it came in but that Polaris "sent the wrong part".
Is that the kind of service I can expect from Polaris?? Honda is looking better all the time.

I have to admit, my tranny cases for my 00" scram 500 come in pretty quick (within a week)I figure it's probably because I have to replace them every 3rd ride so they have the part #'s all ready to go. Has anyone noticed alot of breakdowns on these 00' polaris'. When I spent 3 months researching this investment, I used this forum as my final decision maker. I kept reading the Supposed reliability problems were made up by skeptics and came from non polaris owners. The more I read this forum I'm finding out that I am a polaris owner and the reliability absolutely stinks! I'll tell ya, Hondas and yamahas are looking real good, thats if I can sell my great reliable 00' scram 500.

Doesn't surprise me...
This summer i work in the Parts department at a farm dealership in wisconsin (service motor Co) and i know how these things work, all to well. First of all, it depends when you came in for the part, if it was after 12, the order won't take effect till the next day. also, it depends where the part is coming from. also, UPS has lost things before, and the wrong part has come several times. Don't expect things to be any differant from honda, this is not Polaris's fualt. All they do is receive orders from dealers, and send the parts out. Your part may be sitting in a box as we speak, but no one to open it up and recieve the order (it happens alot) Don't forget backorders either, we've been waiting on some parts for a month now Thats just how it works
