02 scrambler sputtering

Default 02 scrambler sputtering

as soon as i hit the gas it starts sputtering for about 1 to 3 sec. i just picked it up from the shop on saturday ,it was in getting the trail potting done. i still have the stock pip on till i get my HPD trial pip from RCR. i do plan to tack it back to them on monday but if it is somthing i can do i'll do it today. i think i have a vacuum leak. what do you guys think.

Default 02 scrambler sputtering

have you checked your jetting?maybe your carb is dirty..spray some crab cleaner around your engine while its running,if the motor cuts out then you have a air leak..

Yes, crabs WILL cause sputtering. Sorry, just couldn't resist...lol.

On another note, make sure you don't have any water in your gas. Your symptoms will be similar if you do.

Thanx for the info. I'll go to auto zone get sum crab cleaner and see what happens.

i dont have vacuum leak or any water in the gas tank or in the carb. looks like i need to re-jet. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]
