700 Sportsman break mods

Guys/Gals
I've been tinkering with the idea of modifying the rear breaks on my 700. I need some input if it would be beneficial at all or if it would be worth the money to do it. Those of you who are familiar with the rear break set-up on the Sportsman can probably answer me best. On the rear of the machine I was thinking of installing a break rotor and caliper on the left side, then order the split break kit from HPD and have duel front disks and duel rear disc breaks. The reason I want to do this is to help control the bike on steep inclines. I can let the EBS work the rear and I can work the front manually plus tap the rears to keep it from sliding across every leaf and stick. I looked at the set-up on the ATP's and it seems like it will bolt right up minus the split break set up. What do you think?

I like the idea as I have thought of doing something similar. I would keep the front and rear brakes connected and run two splitters so each rear rotor has the same caliper. I imagine it would be easier on the rear drivetrain if both tires were stopping equally instead of all the torque from one transferring through the axles/cv joints and ring and pinion from one tire to the other.

Thanks for the reply Gordy, and excuse my spelling I did mean "brakes". I looked into it a littler further, and as it turns out the rear end is a very solid unit, so no benifit to put on another caliper and roter. Just need to get a split break distribution block running off the same master, altough I think 2 seperate masters would be better and easer to pull. so for 150.00 bucks we can have all the control we need.
