Polaris will releasing the carbon fiber parts next Monday (12th – April 2004). The following parts will be made available:

2874807 carbon fiber coated handlebar pod MSRP $59.99

2874805 carbon fiber coated front fenders MSRP $249.99

2874806 carbon fiber coated rear fenders MSRP $229.99

Actually, when compared to the Fullbore custom plastics, it's priced in the same arena. If people want a custom look/product, generally the additional labor required to manufacture those products will be reflected in the price. After all, nothing in life is free. It's the bling-factor, now how would all those Orange County Choppers look if they didn't have any billet, or custom paint....Acck! Boring!

Yeah, but those OCO bikes are not going to be jumped, rolled, trailridden or in the mud either......

I look forward to seeing more pictures of this close-up and in person.

Just to clarify Modquad, they are not true carbon fiber, but a standard injection molded plastic that has a C.F look to it, correct?

It this a decal, paint, or in-lay during the molding process.

Modder Quader? What say yea masta-san?

It's an immersion graphic (yup, imbedded into the plastic). I'm going to do some double checking, but seems to me it even had quite a durable scuff-guard coating on it also.
