Secondary Spring Rates

Does anyone have a chart of the secondary spring rates? It was suggested to me that getting an HPD violet secondary spring would be my best option to gain acceleration since my machine is stock and I would like to keep the stock engagement. If anyone has changed just their secondary spring, please describe the effects. Also, in my shop manual it says the stock setup is a silver secondary spring in 1-1 and a 40 degree helix, but HPD's web site says the stock spring is red. What's the story here. Thanks.

HPD has the shift rates on their site. They include the Violet secondary in the aggressive clutch kit (set on 2-2). My stock secondary spring was a silver one too. Also, talk to Rick Ritter. He has a Dalton primary spring that will increase your shift rate without increasing your engagement.

Your secondary has nothing to do with engagment.I like the stock (silver spring or a Blue Aaen)set at 2-2 for trails. But this hold more preasure on your belt lossing a little topend.1-1 is ok on the stock secondary. BBS I got the Dalton black/white from Rick and it did the trick withouut changing weights.Faster shiftout very little increase on the engagment.
