Default please help

hi guys,i went for a ride today after installing my hpd trail pipe and clutch kit,went to a place near my house to do some plug checks.it ran fine on the way there but once i got to the place i was going the machine just died,like it was out of gas.everything looks to be ok and the machine still starts right up but dies out when i hit the gas,if i pull out the choke it will run but not for long.i dont know what the problem is,someone please help before i go trade it in for a honda..

Default please help

Have you checked your carb ventlines? Or the fuel tank vent line. I'd say check the fuel vent line or the carb if you didnt do so already.

I'm with DG on this one so far. Check your petcock, Try with your gas cap off or real lose. Make sure air filter is clean. If these don't do it we'll need more info.

Default please help

my fuel tank vent line is fine,i can blow throuh it.the machine is getting gas and will idle..my k&n filter was just cleaned and oiled.i didnt get the chance to do a plug check so i have no idea how its running.

make sure that your air filter is clean. Try running it without the air filter, and see if that helps

my filter is clean,i was running a k&n filter charger and figured maybe it was getting to much air so i put my airbox back on with a clean k&n filter and got the same results..

Default please help

i jut took my carb off and i think i found the problem,my needle clip must have fell off causing the needle to fall into the carb and was sticking out of the main jet,what would have caused this?

I've seen the clips get pretty rusty, could it have corroded off, or did you just find it laying on top of the slide? If it was put on incorrectly to start with, that would make it come off for sure. I'm guessing that was your problem as well, but let us know for sure if your running right when you get it put back together.
