A hare scramble is a race through the woods. You have to race from point a to point b. Its kinda like a 4 wheeler poker run.

The harescrambles held here are for 2 hours or 5 laps...which ever you do first. They keep track of you by a bar code they put onto your helmet; at every check point they scan your bar code. Its more of an endurance race through the woods or whatever terrain they choose to put you through. Usually the courses are very long and your not supposed to know what the layout of the course is till you start the race. They are very fun to do.... try it sometime!!!!!

Indy pred..., yea i want to try the one at the local track i ride at. It sounds like alot of fun but i want to make sure i know what it is before i show up at it.

I was thinking i would need to buy one of those camel back water blaters because i would probably get thirsy during the race. I see the pros using them during the GNCC races and it looks like they work so its worth a shot.

Plus this will be my last time racing my pred before i put my A-arms and axel on

Yea a camel back sounds like a good idea to me. I have one and you cant beat them on the trail when you get thirsty.

Yeah...a camel pak would be a great idea.... and I would suggest that you get into shape if your not already. The courses arent USUALLY hard but just go out and ride anywhere for 2 hours straight with any kind of speed at all and arm pump comes into play quickly!!!! You might wanna make sure you have a sick day at work too cause if your anything like I was when I did my first one then you probably wont feel much like walkin the next day...LOL. But dont let me scare you..... they are ALOT of fun and keep you in shape..... you get to meet alot of nice peeps too. Have fun!!!!!

yea i am in pretty good shape because it is in the middle of lacrosse season and we condition alot. The main thing i am woried about is hitting a tree during the race, the pred is really wide for trails and i just make it through them now, but i think i should do fairlly well

thanks for all the good input
