ok here it goes i know you are all pretty experienced riders but i thought id say this anyway

i went riding on tuesday with a good friend of mine he rides a 04 suzuki z400 anyway he tried to show me how to jump a tabletop but something went wrong when he cam down he rolled end over end 3 or 4 times i am a medic so i stayed with him and made sure he didnt get up until the helicopter came to get him when he got to the hospital he was told he has a compression fracture in his spine and he will have to be in a brace for a while and go through extensive physical therapy i just wanted to remind everyone not to ride beyond your abilities and ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET it saved his life


it is also a good idea to take a cell phone along on long rides and try to ride with a buddy if i wasnt there he could have died out there

good thing you were there. my dad is a retired medic and we always take a 1st aide kit and water on all are rides. the only time we needed to use the kit was for him,lol sorry dad. he rolled his bike but he was'nt hert bad. a little skin lots on his shoulder. we all have cell phones (taking about 5 to 10 riders whin we all go). me and my wife work for the cell company here so we do not have to pay for are cell's.

 

i always bring a cell phone whenever i ride... its stupid not to if you have one avalible.
