[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]well i got hung up on a rock and now the damage is done.the chain busted the cover up but the bad part is she's got some bad noises inside.my question is how much and how hard to fix?thinking of doing it myself. dont know nuttin about it but willing to try.or is that a bad idea?

 

First off BUY a service manual.The tranny isnt that hard to work on but is a real booger to get out and back in.You are looking at $200-$600 to fix it yourself.The case is under $200 but you will need a new drive chain inside the tranny and maybe shift forks and a gear or two.Pluss new chain and sprockets.
