mount your tires with rtv silicone on the beads. it will glue them to the rims and solve your problems.

I had a similar problem losing air from my beads. I used a product called Bead Sealer by NAPA. It came pretty highly recommended by people on this forum and others. It's a super sticky tar-like glue. You put it on the bead before mounting the tires. No problems yet.

I never have any problem with flats...maybe I dont ride in the same conditions either....but my beads seal well once I put the tire on....on aluminum rims, they should seal, and on steel if they don't, bend the suckers so they will.

Is this normal or am I riding them too hard in weeds? Is there a sealant or glue I could put in there to keep the stuff out?

Any help is greatly!! app. !!
I know if you ride in the mud this would happen because the mud would get next to the rim and tire and then harden and expand..thus causing a leak

Use Tire bead sealer, it will help. As for thorns factory tires are terrible, usually cheap and not very many plys. 4 or 6 ply tires will help both with thorns and weeds getting in the bead between the tire and rim. The more plys will help your sidewall strength which will not allow the tire to "roll over" so much and that is when you will get grass in the bead.

I went out to the garage and the tire was flat again, I checked all the way around the rim to make sure there was no leaks. Then I aired it back up and within 10 min, went flat again. All the other times it would take 3-5 hrs. while riding. SO I got out some soapy water and dumped it on the tire and what do you know bubbles, bubbles and more bubbles. I found a nice hole in the center of the tread patern My first flat damn.

The slime only rides in the center of the tire not to good for punctures a little to the side we use a silicone spray you can buy at an auto parts store it works really good to seal the beads and keeps the mub out the race car drivers on dirt tracks around here use that stuff too keep the tire frome popping at the bead.
