I had also bought the kit from polaris and it didint say anything about priming the oil pump.
The more that I think about this the more pissed i get.Should I try to prime the system now?It has about50 hrs or so sence I changed the oil, would the be immediate motor damage or damage over time

oh i believe you
anyhow,,,take some needle nose plyers and pinch off the hose 2 inches from the top of the oil tank
and let it run a bit,,,,it will prime,,,if it hasnt already
rsking45,,,you too,,,go ahead and prime it now ,,,,,,,,i wouldnt worry,,,you would have never gotten 50 hours on no oil.
basicly the oil pump can cavitate (fill with air) and stop the oil flow (temporarily),,,,,,,there may have been a short period of time where you top end didnt get lubricant,,,,,dont worry

Glad you solved the riddle.
You will only have the prime problem if:
You remove the hose to clean the screen
You do not refill as soon as you drain.
We've lost 1 engine before b/c the tech drained the oil before he went home, then re-filled the next morning. That will be the last time that happens!
